This is spicy and juicy with blackberry, bark and some spices. Full and chewy. Flavorful finish. Some lead pencil and iodine. Second wine of Calon.

Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez très aromatique, au fruité très mûr. Bouche tout en pulpe, avec une emphase heureuse en milieu de bouche. Evolution savoureuse, fraîche, sur une finale longue. C’est superbe.

Bouquet invitant, frais et épicé tellement inspiré du Cabernet Sauvignon au niveau de la fraîcheur et du Merlot au niveau du charme. En bouche le vin est élégant et invitant. Il parvient à créer une très belle symbiose entre les éléments qui le compose et ainsi on obtient de la générosité et de la rigueur. Un vin de caractère qui est plaisant et convaincant.

Das Bouquet ist frisch, einladend und würzig. Der Cabernet Sauvignon zeigt sich für die Frische und der Merlot für den Charme verantwortlich. Am Gaumen ist der Wein elegant und einladend. Er schafft es, eine schöne Symbiose zwischen Kraft und Charme herzustellen. Ein charaktervoller Wein, der sehr angenehm ist, und sich darüberhinaus überaus überzeugend präsentiert.

Deep purple-black in color, it bursts from the glass with bombastic scents of stewed black plums, crème de cassis and blueberry pie with nuances of violets and licorice, plus a waft of menthol. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of juicy black fruits with plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing spicy. This is a very different style from the grand vin (Calon-Ségur), but also very delicious.

Fresh berries, quite ripe and forward on the nose, more fruity with some chocolate and cinnamon notes. Super-high acidity, really quite mouthwatering on initial impact, this has a nice weight and balance in the mouth, a soft plumpness and wide frame. Nothing too much, it keeps the intensity but also the focus. You do get a sense of the hot vintage in the slightly spiced undercurrent but this has a nice playfulness. It's bouncy and lively, really accessible, integrated, very slightly grippy tannins. Good push from start to finish. Round and smooth, easy to have with food, lovely generosity and openness while keeping the strict St-Estèphe touch.

Broad and fresh, with damson plum and black cherry notes that glide along, laced with a bright iron hint and backed by a violet accent. Approachable now. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2030.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Intensive Frucht nach Cassis und Brombeeren, tabakige Nuancen, zart animalischer Touch. Wirkt kraftvoll, nach Lakritze und Nugat, stramme Tannine, die gut tragen, frischer Säurebogen, salzig-mineralisch, im Abgang etwas fordernd, wird sich mit Flaschenreife noch vereleganzen.
