A spicy and fruity red with beautiful depth and richness, offering blueberry and dark-chocolate character. Lovely length and intensity, yet balanced and very pretty. Excellent length.

Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez très aromatique et subtil, au fruité mûr. Moelleux en départ de bouche, parfumé au milieu, avec un corps fondant et beaucoup de goût, le vin caresse le palais juteux, noble et incrachable. C'est très bon.

Firm plum and raspberry fruits, this is another good quality St Estephe in 2019, a good sign for the overall quality of the appellation in this vintage. Silky texture, supple and with power that shows appellation typicity. Serious firm tannins and good acidities, but with welcoming spice and liquorice adding interest.

Wie viel Ausdruck und Vielschichtigkeit in diesem Bouquet! Es ist sehr einladend durch seine Noten von Lebkuchen, Brombeeren und Himbeeren. Am Gaumen offenbart sich der Wein Schritt für Schritt, ganz langsam. Er betritt den Gaumen auf Zehenspitzen, um schließlich kräftige, aber seidige Tannine zu offenbaren, die sich im letzten Teil des Gaumens zeigen. Sie gehen Hand in Hand mit der Säurestruktur, wodurch eine hervorragende Balance entsteht! Ein vollmundiger, lebhafter und fruchtiger Wein mit einer gesunden Portion Gelassenheit. Herrlich!

Black and blue fruit, walnuts, gravy, vanilla, praline and cigar box on the nose. Full-bodied with fine tannins. Balanced, layered and polished with a fleshy texture. Harmonious, with elegance and intensity. Beautiful finish. Wow. Drink from 2025.

The 2019 Haut-Marbuzet has turned out very nicely indeed, offering up a deep bouquet of berry fruit, loamy soil, forest floor and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with a fleshy core of fruit that's framed by ripe, powdery tannins and succulent acids. Already persuasively seamless and integrated, and much less marked by its new oak than was the case for this château a decade ago, this is well worth seeking out.
