Concentrated big framed fruit flavours; attractive damson and black cherry, lashed in with liquorice, chocolate and black truffle. One of my queries with the Pavie stable is how little vintage variation there is, although this gives them full marks for maintaining signature. No question that this is an impressive wine.

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of crème de cassis, sweet spices, loamy soil and creamy new oak, the 2019 Bellevue is medium to full-bodied, lively and tensile, with a bright spine of acidity and long, mineral finish. It will likely flesh out with a bit of bottle age.

Les argiles froides et les calcaires des sols situés dans la partie haute du cru confèrent au vin ce style droit et épuré, cette harmonie verticale. Complexe et délicate, sa structure carrée est enrobée par un tanin profond et caressant. Sa finale s'étire sur des notes de menthol et de graphite.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung. Feine mineralische Nuancen, schwarze Beeren, ein Hauch von Herzkirschen, zarter Edelholztouch, verführerisches Bukett. Komplex, saftig und elegant, reife, tragende Tannine, gute Frische, reife Herzkirschen im Abgang, bleibt sehr gut haften, zeigt Länge und sicheres Entwicklungspotenzial, aristokratischer Stil, extraktsüßer Nachhall.

Sweet berries and flowers, such as violets and lavender. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins and a long, caressing finish. Really polished. Drink after 2024.
