«Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with a very serious nose of earthy layers—tilled soil, truffles, underbrush and crushed rocks—giving way to notions of Black Forest cake, kirsch and redcurrant jelly with wafts of cassis and pencil shavings. Full-bodied, the palate is sparked with fantastic energy, featuring layers of red and black fruits with a smooth, rounded texture and lively minty kick to the finish.»

This is an excellent second wine from Haut-Brion with fantastic depth of fruit and structure. Full yet very energetic and a long, linear finish. Shows great length.

Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez moyennement aromatique, au fruité mûr et déjà évolué. Juteux en entrée de bouche, savoureux au milieu, très séducteur et assez ample, le vin évolue très agréable, tannique, mais sans être véritablement tramé, ce qui fait ressembler cette perception au 2003. Longueur normale.

Granat mit aufhellendem Rand. Komplexes Bouquet, zarte Rauchnote und Wacholder sowie Eisenkraut, dahinter tabakige Würze und schwarzbeerige Frucht. Am festen Gaumen mit viel Muskeln besetzt, ein Powerpack mit viel Eleganz, zarter Adstringenz. Im dichten Finale mit schwarzen Oliven und tiefschürfender Würze, kann noch zulegen und andere haben ihn noch höher gesehen.
