A big, rich LM with lots of blackcurrants, black chocolate and tar. It’s full and layered with loads of fruit and ripe tannins. Muscular and rich. Extracted. A wine for aging.

Couleur sombre et vive. Nez très aromatique, fin, pur et très fruité. Caressant à l'attaque, très aromatique en milieu de bouche, très savoureux aussi, doué d'un corps fondant, le vin s'étire en finale, sur une trame tannique légèrement serrée, qui se fondra avec l'âge. Belle longueur.

This vintage marks the 100th anniversary of Lynch Moussas under the Castéja family, who arrived at the property in 1919. They have worked hard to establish a more consistent performance over recent vintages, and certainly here you have plenty of impact, with silky tannins, deeply glossed blackberry and cassis fruits, touches of grilled cedar and strong coffee bean on the finish. Low temperature fermentation saw things kept at under 26°C at all times, helping to control the tannin extract from the fruit after the hot summer. An impressive performance from this estate.

Le cru est en forme et signe avec ce millésime le centième anniversaire de l'acquisitiondu cru par la famille Castéja. Ce pauillac 2019 fera date, il fait montre d'une très belle concentration, avec une maturité qui respecte l'équilibre et lui procure un bel éclat.

This is a solid Pauillac with a medium to full body and chewy tannins that are polished and energetic . Plenty of blackcurrant, lemon and wet-earth character. A little tight at the end. Needs at least three or four years of bottle age to open. Will age very nicely.

A rather rich, dramatic rendition of this estate, the 2019 Lynch-Moussas bursts with aromas of dark berry fruit, pencil shavings and toasty new oak. Full-bodied, ample and muscular, with a fleshy core of fruit, succulent acids and ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the finish, it will reward a bit of bottle age with flamboyant drinking.
